Cantadas grosseiras

Por volta da uma e meia da manhã deste sábado, recebi uma mensagem da minha amiga. Ela reclamava que havia recebido três cantadas enquanto trabalhava como fotógrafa. Eu, como bom exemplar macho, perguntei o que havia de ruim, já que ela estava sendo valorizada, e isso nos colocou numa breve troca de mensagens madrugada adentro, que em seguida avançou para os e-mails e segue até agora.

O resumo do argumento, que pode ser visto super bem defendido no Escreva Lola Escreva, é que essas cantadas se baseiam no direito que o homem tem de fazer o que quiser com as mulheres, que são meros objetos de uso e consumo. De preferência, uso e consumo rápido e descartável. E que essas cantadas agressivas podem facilmente virar agressões, invasões de privacidade e de corpo. Foi fácil, para mim, pensar que isso tudo era exagero, considerando que eu tenho um pinto e, por isso, corro esse risco numa frequência infinitamente inferior.

O vídeo abaixo é um comercial que mostra bem o quê as crianças aprendem rápido. Aprendem porque ensinamos. Ensinamos porque, mesmo sem saber, aprendemos. Já é hora de romper esse ciclo, não?

Around 1:30pm this Saturday, I received a message from my friend. She complained that three guys had passed lines on her during the time she was working as a photographer. From my friend arguments and the blog Escreva Lola Escreva, I can summarize that those teasers are based on the idea that the man can do whatever he wants with women, mere objects of use and consumption. Preferably, fast and disposable. This idea can easily turn into aggression, invasions of privacy or of bodies. It was easy for me to think that she was being excessive. Well, I have a dick, so this happens to me almost never. I don't feel endangered or trespassed every time someone says I'm beautiful or that they want to fuck me the whole night. OK, this last one is creepy.


The video above is a commercial that shows what children learn really fast. They learn because we teach. We teach because even if we don't know it, we learnt it. It is time to break this cycle, isn't it?
